iPods and Hearing Loss in Children
Exposure to even one loud noise can cause permanent hearing loss. However, hearing loss is associated with not only the loudness of the noise, but the length of exposure as well. If parents can hear the music from their child's Ipod, the volume needs to be decreased. Be aware of the signs of early hearing loss. Be sure to share this story with family and friends.
